AFRICA WAKE UP!

AFRICA WAKE UP!

Africa is Sleeping, Dreaming about her dream,
The Dream to be the best amongst the rest,
The Dream to beat the West to be the best.

I speak from the African Womb
The Gold-coated womb
The mineral - nourished womb

As a fetus in the African Womb,
I see and enjoy rich mineral nutrients,
but as a new-born baby,
The cloth of poverty is worn on me.
The cloth of suffering is worn on me.
But it has dawn on me to tell my mother, Africa to wake up!

Mother Africa! wake up!
Open your eyes,
Look at me!
The cloth of poverty has worn out.
The cloth of suffering has torn apart.

It's a tattered cloth not a shattered dream, Africa!
Wake up and Live your dream!
